Historic Marker Dedication with Bishop Medley
Attention SRIS Golf Team Parents: Pictures will be Sept 2nd. Everyone will need to wear a royal blue polo. If you do not have one from last year with the SRIS embro. on it, please send in one in a ziploc or grocery bag with your name marked on it. We will embr. these instead of getting t-shirts. Teach proper dress code on the course along with it. Mr. Cox allows them to wear these to the school. They do not violate uniform code. Will serve double duty for academic team. As you all may know, we will have our dedication ceremony for our new Kentucky Historical Society Marker on Friday, August 27th at 10 a.m. Kim Brumfield informed me over the weekend that each student will release a balloon either after the ceremony or right after mass, I'm not sure. She asked that we have a room mother for each grade there to help with the balloons. The room mothers will be in the gym with their class balloons. Each grade will pass through the gym, and the room mothers will give each student one balloon. The students will proceed to the lawn in front of the middle school. When all the students have their balloon, they will release them. Kim said that each balloon will have a note inside.
Mrs. Kathy's Pre-School class will not be there because it's on Friday.
If you can help be there to help, please let me know. Thanks!
Shannon Barr

SCRIP NEWS:
We want to officially welcome our newest local vendor, River Shack, which is located in McDaniels near North Fork Campground. The $20 gift certificate has a 10% contribution and can be used at both the store and the restaurant. The certificate cannot be used on tobacco products, gasoline or lottery purchases. If the certificate is not used in full, change will be given. The certificate expires one year from date of purchase.
We are just as excited to welcome three new national vendors that have agreed to join the SRIS Scrip program, and they are….. Cheddars, Roca Bar and Rural King.
* Cheddars is a $10 gift certificate with a 6% contribution.
* Roca Bar is a $10 gift card with a 7% contribution.
* Rural King is a $25 gift card with a 2% contribution.
We will not be ordering these from Great Lakes as we do most national vendors but rather we’ll be purchasing them from the Owensboro locations. Because we have to pre-pay for the gift certificates, our “in-stock” inventory will be very limited. In addition, the turn-around for these will not be as quick as Great Lakes since our office will have to plan a trip to Owensboro to pick them up personally. We will, however, do our very best to meet your needs.
"School's in Session" Scrip Office Hours
Monday: 8:00 - 2:00 (order day)
Thursday: 1:00 - 4:00 (pick-up day)
